According to Mid-Day, AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer will host a musical evening dedicated to ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ in London on October 20. The report states that the Royal Albert Hall is likely to host the event, although the venue has not been officially confirmed. The collaboration between Rahman and Zimmer is a major part of the film’s international positioning. While Rahman, a two-time Oscar winner, is composing the songs, Zimmer, a five-time Grammy winner, is associated with the film’s background score. The musical evening is expected to give audiences a glimpse into the sonic world created by the two celebrated composers for the ambitious mythological epic.

Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash may attend London event

The Mid-Day report further states that the film’s lead actors, Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, along with director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, are expected to attend the London event. If the plans materialise, the gathering will bring together the principal cast, filmmaker and the two composers behind the film’s musical identity at a crucial point in its promotional campaign. The international event also comes as the makers prepare to expand the film’s promotional material ahead of its theatrical release.

‘Ramayana: Part 1’ second trailer expected around October 23

The London musical evening is expected to precede the release of the second trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’. As per Mid-Day’s report, the second trailer is expected to be launched around October 23. The film’s promotional campaign had earlier begun with the release of the ‘Rama’ teaser in April, followed by the first trailer in July. The upcoming trailer is therefore expected to offer another major glimpse into the world of the Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash-starrer.

Ahead of the second trailer, the makers are also reportedly preparing to release the film’s first song. The song is expected to become an important promotional asset for the film, particularly given the involvement of AR Rahman and the scale of the project’s musical world.
