Raichur: An autorickshaw driver was killed on Monday at Shakti Nagar of the taluk after a fly ash truck overturned. The deceased is Simhadri, a resident of Labour Colony in Raichuru city. His head was crushed when the truck fell over him. Local auto drivers protested, expressing their outrage and demanding a ban on the movement of heavy vehicles there. Adequate compensation was sought to the family of the deceased. The traffic of heavy vehicles, including ash tankers, has increased, endangering the lives of people.
