India national cricket team have announced their squad for the one-off Test against Afghanistan national cricket team, with Shubman Gill named captain and KL Rahul appointed vice-captain.
The batting unit includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan, Rishabh Pant, Devdutt Padikkal and Nitish Reddy, while Dhruv Jurel has been picked as the reserve wicketkeeper.
India have gone with a balanced bowling attack featuring Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna, Suthar, Gurnoor Brar and Harsh Dubey, with Washington Sundar adding another spin-bowling all-round option.
