The Railway Recruitment Board will close the registration window for RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 today. A total of 22,195 Level 1 posts will be filled under this drive. Candidates who have not yet applied must complete the online form before the deadline ends tonight. The recruitment is being conducted for various units of Indian Railways. Applications are being accepted only through the official portal, rrbapply.gov.in. After today, no fresh registrations will be allowed. Interested candidates are advised to check eligibility, upload correct documents and pay the required fee within the given schedule to avoid rejection.
RRB Group D vacancy details and eligibility criteria
This recruitment drive will fill 22,195 vacancies in Level 1 posts. These include Track Maintainer, Pointsman and Assistant roles in different railway departments.Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 33 years of age. Age relaxation will be given to reserved category candidates as per government rules.Applicants should have passed Class 10 from a recognised board or hold an ITI certificate in relevant trades, as mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must ensure that their educational and personal details match their certificates.
Application fee and correction window
Candidates from the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 500. Out of this amount, Rs 400 will be refunded after appearing in the Computer Based Test. For SC, ST, PwBD, female, minority and economically backward category candidates, the fee is Rs 250. The full amount will be refunded after appearing in the exam.The last date to pay the application fee will be announced separately. A correction window will also be opened for a limited period. Selection process and next steps
The selection process will include a Computer Based Test, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test, document verification and medical examination.Candidates must regularly check the official RRB website for updates on exam dates and admit card release.
