Work honestly, serve people well: CESC chief to recruits

Mysuru: Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) chairman Ramesh Bandisiddegowda Friday urged newly appointed junior powermen to work honestly and efficiently and deliver the best services to people.He was speaking after distributing recruitment letters and holding counselling sessions for the new recruits at the CESC headquarters in Vijayanagar.

He said the govt had recruited powermen after conducting all required tests, including physical and endurance tests, with full transparency and on a merit basis. “As earning a govt job is not easy nowadays,” he said, the new staff must use the opportunity to give their best to consumers and “not give room for complaints”. He added that CESC staff must attend to public and farmer complaints without “harassing” them.Calling their job risky, he advised them to take all precautions for their own safety and the public’s safety. He also told them to clarify doubts with seniors during training.CESC managing director KM Munigopala Raju asked job aspirants not to fall prey to middlemen’s inducements. He said the govt had recruited over 3,000 junior powermen on merit with full transparency.CESC chief finance officer B Renuka and senior officers BR Lingarajamma and BR Roopa were present.
