At Phoenix Marketcity, Whitefield, Piyush Mishra didn’t just perform — he spoke, sang and reflected with Bengaluru. Representing his band Ballimaaraan, the poet-lyricist-actor transformed the venue into an intimate space of memory, humour and quiet introspection. Aarambh 2.0, part of a multi-city tour presented by The Times of India and powered by BTC’s flagship brands, unfolded less like a conventional gig and more like a dialogue between the artiste and the city. The evening drifted into a time before screens dictated emotion — when love waited for letters, laughter was unfiltered, and silences meant something. A stirring rendition of Aarambh electrified the hall, while Sheher struck a chord with its portrayal of urban loneliness — a feeling familiar to many in the crowd. Between songs, Piyush shared fragments of his own journey, touching upon struggle, resilience and the quiet loss of innocence in a rapidly changing world. The performance set unfolded like a personal diary, each chapter revealing a different shade of thought. As the night ended, what stayed with the audience was not the music alone, but the quiet reflection it left behind.Songs like Thoda Nazara and Loophole questioned social hypocrisy, and Shakespeare’s Hamlet, leaving the audience laughing even as the truths hit home. The mood softened with Woh Suhane Din, and Dabi Chhawani, evoking nostalgia for youth and simpler joys, before ending the show with much-loved favourites Bagal Mein Chand Hoga and Husna.Piyush’s setlist:

  • Aarambh
  • Sheher
  • Thoda Nazara
  • Loophole
  • Ik Bagal Mein Chaand Hoga
  • Husna
