Resolve drinking water issue quickly: MLA Kamath

Mangaluru: Drinking water problems have surfaced in the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) limits even before the onset of summer, claimed Mangaluru City South MLA D Vedavyas Kamath. He instructed MCC officials to visit the location and take urgent action within a week.“There is a shortage of drinking water in wards 25, 26, 27, 41, and 53, causing significant inconvenience to residents. Previously, when the BJP was in power in the city corporation, immediate responses were provided to the public’s issues as soon as drinking water problems arose. Since the end of the BJP’s term, there was no one to address the people’s concerns. Currently, the MCC is under the administration of a Congress-led govt, and there is no solution to the common people’s problems,” the MLA alleged and urged officials to take action to solve the issue.Former BJP councillors Poornima M, Ganesh Kulal, Jayalakshmi Shetty, Jagadish Shetty, and BJP leader Chandrashekhar Bajal explained the difficulties people were facing regarding drinking water in their areas. Naresh P Shenoy, deputy commissioner (development), MCC, and other officials were present.
