Hubballi: A man allegedly strangled his wife to death following a family dispute on Thursday morning in Nava Anand Nagar in Hubballi, and Old Hubballi police took the accused into custody. According to the Old Hubballi police station sources, the woman was identified as Anjum Paniband, 33. The accused was identified as Mehboob, 36. Police said the couple fought daily and there were frequent arguments between them. They said Mehboob allegedly strangled her to death, then tried to escape. Police took him into custody with the help of locals and interrogated him. The couple had recently moved to Nava Anand Nagar, Hubballi, and lived in a rented house. A case was registered at the Old Hubballi police station.
