Koppal: CV Chandrashekhar, a member of the JD(S) state executive committee, claimed that K Raghavendra Hitnal, the three-time elected MLA of Koppal, failed to address the constituency’s issues during the legislative session. In a press release on Tuesday, Chandrashekhar spoke on Hitnal failing to meet residents’ expectations. He cited the deteriorating roads, the relocation of a residential school for children of labourers to Yalburga, rising pollution levels, shortage of fertilisers, murders resulting from trivial disputes, increased ganja use, and other urgent matters, urging Hitnal to raise these topics during the session. Chandrashekhar questioned the number of times Hitnal addressed the constituency’s issues in assembly sessions, expressing frustration that the people of Koppal were suffering due to the MLA’s ineptitude. He stated that the MLA should focus on the challenges faced by ordinary citizens and promote the constituency’s development. “Soon, JD(S) will organise protests to denounce this inaction,” Chandrashekhar cautioned.
