Mysuru: Hundreds of bikers took to the streets on Sunday in the city to create awareness against drug abuse and make Mysuru a drug-free tourist hub. BJP leader and neurologist Dr Shushrutha Gowda organised the rally, in which Avadhootha Vinay Guruji, renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj, yoga promoter D Srihari, Chethan HK, besides representatives of service organisations took part. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Shushrutha Gowda stated that drug peddlers are equal to murderers. “Nearly 3 crore people in India are addicted to drugs today. Earlier, states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, and Haryana were seen as hubs of drug sales. Sadly, Karnataka has now joined this list, which is shocking for us all,” he said. Sculptor Arun Yogiraj spoke about channelling youthful energy in the right direction. Students from various colleges joined the march.
