Heavy rainfall in Karnataka: South Western Railway restores train services

MANGALURU: The South Western Railway divisional authorities acted promptly to restore normal train services on the Kadagaravalli-Donigal, Yedakumari-Kadagaravalli, and Shribagilu-Yedakumari sections of the Mangaluru-Hassan stretch. With continued efforts, the track was examined and certified fit for operations.Heavy rainfall caused an earth slip between the Shribagilu-Yedakumari, Yedakumari-Kadagaravalli, and Kadagaravalli-Donigal sections at around 4:40 PM on Saturday. However, the Kadagaravalli-Donigal section was declared fit at 5:10 AM on Sunday. Similarly, the Yedakumari-Kadagaravalli section was declared fit at 6:30 AM on Sunday, and the Shribagilu-Yedakumari section was declared fit on Saturday.With these efforts, normal train services resumed, ensuring safe and efficient travel for passengers, stated a release from the South Western Railway.
