Mangaluru: The Mangaluru Lit Fest Award 2026 will be conferred on Rajya Sabha MP, historian, and Padma Shri awardee Meenakshi Jain during the 8th edition of the festival.The Bharath Foundation, which is organising the Mangaluru Lit Fest, announced that the award will be conferred during the two-day literary festival, which will be held at Dr TMA Pai International Convention Centre here from Saturday.Dedicated to promoting the ‘Idea of Bharat’, the festival enters its 8th year with a line-up of over 70 thinkers and experts. A special interaction session with the awardee, Meenakshi Jain, is also scheduled.The festival will be officially inaugurated on Saturday, and will be attended by distinguished personalities, including Shatavadhani Dr R Ganesh, Meenakshi Jain, Dakshina Kannada MP Capt Brijesh Chowta, Ravi S (Mythic Society), and Dr Ajakkala Girish Bhat.
