Mysuru: A youth was jailed for posting a photo of himself holding a gun-like object on his social media account. Mandi police said Azeez Sheriff was arrested posting a photo with a gun-like object on his social media account. He was accused of creating fear among the public and was booked under the provisions of the Arms Act. The object, according to police, is a cigarette lighter and has been sent to FSL for examination. An officer said even holding anything that resembles a weapon is an offence under the Arms Act and would attract legal action.
