Mysuru: A 25-year-old youth, Rajesh DM from Davangere, was arrested by Mysuru district police on charges of uploading morphed images of chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy chief minister DK Shivakumar, and ministers Priyank Kharge and Laxmi Hebbalkar.He was also accused of using derogatory language in his post. The accused was remanded in judicial custody by a court. Superintendent of police N Vishnuvardhana confirmed the accused was arrested.According to police, Vijayakumar, a resident of Bandipalya, filed a complaint with the cyber crime police station on Oct 25, claiming that an unknown person depicted CM Siddaramaiah, DCM DK Shivakumar, and ministers Priyank Kharge and Laxmi Hebbalkar in a bizarre manner in an Instagram post, by uploading edited videos using derogatory language.After registering a case, Mysuru district cyber crime police launched a probe and arrested the accused in Davangere on Saturday.
