Bengaluru: Around 30-35 women gathered at Jayanagar 4th Block on Saturday, wearing Congress shawls and holding photographs of terror victims, to protest against the India-Pakistan Asia Cup cricket match in Dubai held the same evening. The protest, led by Congress functionary Sowmya Reddy, saw participants condemn the match, saying the country should not forget tragedies like pahalgam so soon. The protest was triggered by the Pahalgam attack that took place in April this year near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, claiming at least 26 civilian lives.
