Hubballi: Two youths died and three others were injured in a road crash that occurred at Anagawadi Ridge in Bilagi taluk, Bagalkot district, late Sunday night. The tragedy occurred when an Innova car collided with a tum-tum. The deceased have been identified as Mahesh Naikar, 27, and Mehboob Shaikh, 30. The injured, Vishal Vartille, Vijaykumar Bhovi, and Guruprasad Sunkad, were admitted to the hospital. All five were residents of Navanagar Sector-45 in Bagalkot. They reportedly went to Kolhar for dinner in a tom-tom. Eyewitnesses said that an overspeeding car rammed the tom-tom when it tried to avoid a collision with a Mahindra pickup van. Kaladagi police registered a case.
