The accident took place on NH 150A when the vehicle was near Siruguppa.The deceased have been identified as Prasad Rao, 75, who was driving the car, Vijaya, 70, and Sandhya, 35. The injured, Padma, 70, and Briheshwar Rao, 45, both residents of Siruguppa, were shifted to Ballari Medical College and Research Centre (BMCRC) Hospital in Ballari. Police said their condition is stable.Preliminary investigations suggest that Prasad Rao lost control of the car after it swerved to the right side of the road and crashed into a culvert near Devinagar. The impact was severe, resulting in the death of three occupants on the spot and injuries to two others.A case has been registered at the Tekkalakote police station.
