Belagavi: Air travellers from Belagavi have received partial relief as Star Air has resumed bookings on the Belagavi–Ahmedabad (AMD) route from Jan 15. The sector had been missing from the airline’s booking portal for the past two days, raising concerns among passengers. However, uncertainty persists regarding the Belagavi-Jaipur service. Bookings on this route remain unavailable from Jan 15 to Jan 31, although reservations open again from Feb 1. Star Air has not issued any official statement clarifying whether the Jaipur service is temporarily suspended or at risk of a longer-term discontinuation. While the reinstatement of the Ahmedabad route has brought some reassurance, the lack of clarity around the Jaipur sector highlights the ongoing fragility of Belagavi’s air connectivity. The situation is further aggravated by the earlier withdrawal of the Belagavi-Mumbai route, a crucial link for business and frequent travellers, which was discontinued from Dec 25, 2025.In the absence of clear communication from the airline, passenger confidence continues to be impacted. These developments have reinforced the relevance of citizen-led initiatives such as SAVE IXG, which are calling for consistent, transparent, and sustainable air connectivity for the city.Travellers and stakeholders are now urging airlines and authorities to provide clear communication and long-term planning, rather than last-minute schedule changes that disrupt travel plans and undermine trust in regional air services.
