Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district in-charge secretary Tulasi Maddinen said that the social and educational survey conducted by the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes will include people from all sections of society. At the preparatory review meeting for the survey held at the Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat on Monday, Maddineni said that the survey will collect details from individuals of all castes, religions, and classes.“The survey will collect details from every caste, religion, and class in society. Stickers have already been affixed to each house, and the survey will be conducted based on this with GPS information. Enumerators will visit each house and conduct the survey through a mobile app. They will collect information for 60 different questions as part of the survey,” she said.The survey will gather details on each family’s educational and marital status, govt benefits received, employment, political representation, land details, agricultural livestock, drinking water, plots, toilets, and other information. This comprehensive survey will provide the govt with complete information about the people’s conditions, aiding in policy formulation and the implementation of various schemes, she said.There are no controversial questions in the survey. Each household survey is estimated to take 40 minutes. Govt department staff, including teachers, will be utilised for the survey. They will conduct surveys for 10 houses each day. Maddineni urged people to provide accurate information when enumerators visit their homes.Deputy commissioner Darshan HV, zilla panchayat CEO Narwade Vinayak Karbhari and additional deputy commissioner Raju K were present.
