Yadgir: A PSI, who marked the completion of 10 years of service as a sub-inspector by cutting a cake alongside a rowdy-sheeter, was suspended.The suspended officer is PSI Rajashekar Rathod from Narayanpur police station in Hunasagi taluk.After reaching the milestone of 10 years as a sub-inspector, PSI Rajashekar celebrated by cutting a cake along with rowdy-sheeter Nagaraj – right at the police station. Following the circulation of these photos and videos, former minister Rajugowda lodged a complaint against the PSI with the SP.It was claimed that PSI Rajashekar Rathod engaged in playing shuttlecock with rowdy sheeter Nagaraj on the police station grounds and also celebrated his birthday there.It was reported that three months ago, Nagaraj assaulted an individual. The victim, Basavaraj, filed a complaint at the Narayanpur police station, but the police refused to register the case. The SP was informed that rowdy sheeter leveraged his influence to obstruct the registration of the case.Following an investigation into the allegations, Yadgir SP Prithvi Shankar suspended PSI Rajashekar Rathod on Oct 14.
