Mysuru: Following back-to-back crimes, including murder and clashes between members of two families, city police held a public contact meeting in the Udayagiri police limits in the Devaraja police subdivision on Saturday.The meeting was chaired by deputy commissioner of police (crime) KS Sundarraj.The public at the meeting in Rajivnagar requested police to issue directions to shut down shops at 10am to maintain law and order in the north-eastern part of Mysuru. The police department assured that necessary actions would be taken, and traders were asked to cooperate.The public was urged to provide information to police regarding the use, storage, and transportation of narcotic substances, and those present at the meeting expressed their willingness to cooperate positively with police on this matter.The meeting was attended by political leaders, community leaders, clerics, traders, and the public from Udayagiri police station limits.
