Aurad (Bidar): The parents of Kaveri Akash, who died on Friday while disembarking from the school bus, have held both the school administration and the bus driver accountable for her death. The 6-year-old girl from Ekkamba village lost her life after she fell from the bus and was subsequently run over by one of its wheels. A formal complaint was lodged at Aurad police station concerning this incident. Pooja and Akash Shinde, parents of Kaveri, expressed their grievances about the school to Shashidhar Kosambe, a member of the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, who visited their residence on Saturday. They remarked, “The management, which calls frequently for school fees, neglected to inform us when our daughter passed away. Both the school management and the intoxicated driver are responsible for her death.” In light of this situation, Shashidhar Kosambe, who visited numerous private schools, directed them to implement the Child Protection Policy-2016. He warned that failure to comply would result in the management being held liable, and he would suggest appropriate measures to the education department.
