Mangaluru: The Cooperation of the Arts for the Upliftment of Society & the Environment (CAUSE) Foundation will be performing ‘We Will Rock You’, a foot-stomping musical comedy based on the songs of Queen and the legendary Freddie Mercury, at the Kudmul Ranga Rao Town Hall on Sept 20. Featuring about 20 hit Queen songs, including ‘Another One Bites The Dust’, ‘Killer Queen’, ‘We Will Rock You’, and ‘We Are the Champions’, among others, the musical follows two revolutionaries as they try to save rock ‘n’ roll in a post-apocalyptic world. The cast and crew include some of Bengaluru’s finest new and old singing, acting, dancing, and musical talent, including Rahael Thomas, Samiksha Chawla, Deepa Jacob, Kieren Alvares Lynn, Arvind Kasthuri, Aakarsh Paul, Trisha Purohit, Shyju Varkey, and Prem Koshy. The show is accompanied by a live band directed by Aashish Paul and assisted by Sabarisha R. The dances are choreographed/directed by Elexer Fernandes, Kieren & Keira Alvares. Vibrant costumes by Trendz & Emily CJR and hand-painted sets by Tsia Molloth promise a visual feast.
