Udupi: A motorcyclist was killed after a truck collided with his bike near Balaipade Junction in Korangrapadi village on NH-66 in Udupi on Monday evening. The deceased is Suresh, 43. According to police, the accident took place when the accused, Jagadish, driving the truck from Katpadi towards Udupi, recklessly and negligently moved to the extreme left side of the road. At the same time, Suresh was riding a motorcycle in the same direction from Katpadi towards Udupi. The truck collided with the motorcycle, causing Suresh to fall onto the road along with the vehicle. He sustained a severe head injury and was rushed to a private hospital for treatment. However, the duty doctor confirmed that he had already succumbed to his injuries. A case was registered at Udupi Traffic police station under Sections 281 and 106(1) of BNS 2023.
