Mangaluru: Man, woman booked for public drug use near Valencia bus stand after tip-off
Mangaluru police arrested Ameer Suhail and Fathima Juwa for allegedly consuming narcotic substances and behaving inappropriately near the Valencia bus stand. PSI Mohan acted on a tip-off, found the duo under the influence, and took them for medical examination.

MANGALURU: The CEN Crime Police of Mangaluru City police booked two persons for the consumption of narcotic substances. The accused were identified as Ameer Suhail,29, a resident of Bunder, and Fathima Juwa, 24, a resident of Valencia.According to police, on Tuesday, at around 12 noon, PSI Mohan, who was on rounds duty, received a tip-off that a man and a woman were allegedly under the influence of intoxicants and were behaving inappropriately at a public place near the Valencia bus stand, causing inconvenience to the public.Acting on the information, the officer reached the location around 1 pm and found the duo at the spot. On questioning, both reportedly admitted to consuming narcotic substances. They were taken to to a private hospital for medical examination. Following the confirmation, a case was registered against both under Section 27B of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
