Davangere: On Tuesday, a husband allegedly stabbed his wife to death and seriously injured her mother with a knife while attempting to resolve child custody matters. The incident occurred on the premises of the Juvenile Justice Board in the MCC area of the city.The deceased has been identified as Mushkan Banu, 26, from Kadajji village, and the accused is Kaleem Ulla, 35. Banu’s mother, Farjan, 50, who tried to intervene, was also stabbed and sustained serious injuries.According to police from the local station, Mushkan Banu and Kaleem Ulla were experiencing domestic disputes and planning to divorce. They approached the Juvenile Justice Board to address issues related to the custody of their two children.During the couple’s hearing on Tuesday afternoon before the board, a quarrel broke out between them, leading the accused to stab Banu multiple times with a knife. Mushkan, critically injured, was rushed to the district hospital but succumbed to her injuries on the way, as reported by the police.
