Hubballi: MLA Mahesh Tenginakai chaired a meeting in view of the Ganesh festival with officials of various departments at the Circuit House in Hubballi on Tuesday.He received information from officials regarding the preparation for the Ganesh festival. He instructed the officials that there should not be any disturbance during the procession of Ganesha idols and the immersion procession in the city.Tenginakai said that lakhs of people will participate in the procession from various parts of the state. Every year, the Ganesh festival is celebrated in a grand manner. There should not be any untoward incidents during the festival for 11 days. Potholes should be filled wherever the Ganeshotsav procession will be taken, and necessary arrangements should be made. The Hescom should not cut power during night hours. There were untoward incidents in the past. Therefore, power should be supplied without interruption, he instructed.He said that arrangements should be made for the immersion of idols. The well should be cleaned, and lighting arrangements should be made.HDMC mayor Jyothi Patil said they have held many meetings with officials, stakeholders, and mandals. HDMC commissioner Rudresh Ghali said that the HDMC is filling the potholes on the roads in the city, especially where the Ganeshotsav procession will be held. HDMC will be coordinating with other departments during the festival, he added.HDMC deputy mayor Santosh Chavan and others were present.
