Madikeri: Kodagu district police filed cases against 10 Dasara mantapa committees for using loudspeakers in violation of the rules during the night of the Dasara festival. The cases were registered for the use of loudspeakers during the Dasha mantapa procession on Oct 2.A total of 62 people, including the office bearers of 10 mantaps and loudspeaker owners, were accused of violating the norms.Despite holding preliminary meetings and warning not to use loudspeakers after 10pm, loudspeakers were used, cops stated.
