Pic: The couples who chose to reunite at the National Lok Adalat that took place in Kushtagi, in Koppal district, on SaturdayKoppal: During the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday across various courts in the district, ten couples who had initially sought to end their marriages chose to reunite.Under the provisions of the Hindu Marriage Act, settlements were successfully reached in six cases at the senior civil court in Kushtagi, one case at the additional civil court in Gangavathi, and three cases in Koppal, facilitated by judges and mediating lawyers.In Kushtagi, the settlements took place in the presence of senior civil judge R Manjunath, principal civil judge ML Pujeri, additional civil judge Mahantesh Chauvalagi, and Bar Association president Doddanagouda Patil.Of the total 51,306 pre-litigation cases that were taken up, 43,676 were resolved, resulting in compensation exceeding Rs 5.9 crore. In the litigation category, 48,992 out of 50,578 cases were resolved, with a cumulative settlement value of Rs 28.2 crore.
