Land transfer process of donated land for Virajpet Gowda Samaj begins

Madikeri: The family of Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda of Sullia has donated prime land for the construction of a building for the Virajpet Gowda Samaj. Realising the requirement, Dr Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda purchased 77 cents of land in 2004 in the name of his sons, Dr KV Chidananda and Dr KV Renuka Prasad. Due to various reasons, the land was not transferred for 21 years. Now, after the new management board of the Kodagu Gowda Samaj Association came into existence at Virajpet, a decision was taken to start the land transfer process. On behalf of Chidananda, his son KC Akshay, and on behalf of Renuka Prasad, his son KR Maurya visited the Madikeri Sub-Registration Office and completed the process of handing over the land, which, according to sources, is worth Rs 3.5 crore at the current market value. On this occasion, Gowda Samaja Union president Anand Karandlaje, vice- president Tenan Rajesh, secretary Periyana Udaya, legal adviser Kombarana Roshan, and president of Kodagu Gowda Vidya Sangha Ambekal Naveen were present.
