The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) have opened the final window for candidates to challenge provisional answer keys issued for the Tier-I recruitment examinations. The answer keys and scanned images of OMR answer sheets are available online, and eligible candidates must complete the challenge process within the stipulated timeframe.The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), which conducted the examinations, has clarified that only paid challenges submitted through the official portal will be considered. Challenges sent via email, letter, or any other medium will not be accepted, and no further opportunity will be provided to download OMR answer sheets after the window closes.Provisional answer keys and scanned OMR sheets released onlineOn January 31, 2026, CBSE published the provisional answer keys along with the scanned OMR answer sheets for the recruitment of teaching and non, teaching posts functions under KVS and NVS. The Tier, I tests for the posts of PRT, TGT, PGT, JSA, SSA, MTS, and Librarian were conducted on January 10 and 11, 2026.Candidates can check their individual answer sheets by entering the roll number and date of birth details. This feature helps candidates to check the answers they have marked during the examination and also facilitates them to compare with the board’s released provisional keys.Deadline and objection fee detailsThe objection window will close on February 4, 2026. Each challenge requires a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 1,000 per question at the time of submission. Only objections supported by valid documentary evidence will be examined by subject experts.CBSE has stated that subject experts will review all received challenges and prepare the final answer keys accordingly. The experts decision will be final, and no candidate will be sent a personal letter concerning the status of his/her objections. If the challenge is successful, the fee will be refunded after the results have been announced.How to check and raise an objection to the KVS NVS answer keyApplicants may use the following five steps to review and contest the answer key:Step 1: Go to the official website of CBSE at https://cbse.gov.in/.Step 2: Find the recruitment section and open the link for KVS NVS Tier, I answer key and OMR sheet.Step 3: Use the roll number and date of birth to get access to the scanned OMR sheet and provisional answer key.Step 4: Pick the question number you want to challenge, attach the necessary documents, and send the objection.Step 5: Make a payment of Rs 1, 000 per question as the fee and keep the payment confirmation for future reference.Direct access link for the download of OMR answer sheets and provisional keys is https://cbseit.in/cbse/2026/kvjnvkey/.
