He urged the govt to wake up immediately and warned that if the govt continues to ignore the interests of the people and farmers, a violent struggle is certain.Speaking to the media on Saturday, Iranna Kadadi said that, despite the heavy rains causing crop damage and property damage, the state govt is administering the state by ignoring farmers and the common people. Due to heavy rain in the state, floods have damaged houses, crops, roads, and bridges, but the state govt has not taken any steps to formulate a solution to these natural disasters. The BJP will continue its fight against this failure of the govt, which is ruling solely based on guarantees, forgetting the interests of the commonfolk and farmers of the state.“According to NDRF rules, one lakh rupees should be given for a completely damaged house and 40,000 for a partially damaged house. However, the govt has not given compensation as per the rules. The district minister has not visited the flood-damaged areas. People are complaining that standing meetings were not held at the district level, and that remedial measures were not taken,” he said.“According to the preliminary estimates of the agriculture department, 2.5 lakh hectares of crops were damaged in Belagavi district. However, no agricultural subsidy was released to provide compensation. The loss assessment report for the flood-affected districts is still not complete. The process of submitting appeals to the Central govt regarding flood damage is delayed, affecting the lives of flood-hit people,” Kadadi said.MLA Abhay Patil said that the govt is not releasing money for development projects in the state. Farmers and common people are fed up with the state govt’s governance and are saying that it is enough if this govt is removed from power.Corporator and advocate Hanumant Kongali, former MLAs Anil Benake, and Sanjay Patil were present.
