Ballari: A husband murdered his wife with an axe in Muddattanur village following a family dispute. According to police, Devaraj, 25, and Lingamma, 22, were married five years ago and frequently fought thereafter. Devaraj, an alcoholic, often expressed suspicions about his wife, leading to constant disputes. During a violent altercation on Tuesday, Devaraj, in a fit of anger, murdered his wife Lingamma with an axe. The accused was arrested. SP Dr Shobharani VJ came visited the spot. A case was registered at Sirigeri police station.
