Gold prices moved lower across major Indian cities on Wednesday as retail bullion rates tracked weakness in domestic futures amid cautious sentiment ahead of the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision.On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold for April delivery fell by Rs 256, or 0.16 per cent, to Rs 1,55,729 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 7,734 lots.Gold prices remained under pressure as investors continued to assess the impact of fluctuating oil prices on inflation ahead of the Federal Reserve’s policy outcome, Jigar Trivedi, Senior Research Analyst at IndusInd Securities, said.Here is how gold prices stand across major Indian cities today:

Gold prices in the national capital weakened, with 24K gold quoted at Rs 15,824 per gram, down Rs 53, while 22K gold slipped Rs 49 to Rs 14,506 per gram.
Gold price in Mumbai today
Mumbai bullion markets also saw softer retail rates as 24K gold was priced at Rs 15,775 per gram, down Rs 87, and 22K gold declined Rs 80 to Rs 14,460 per gram.

Chennai recorded a sharper fall, with 24K gold selling at Rs 15,895 per gram, down Rs 87, while 22K gold dropped Rs 80 to Rs 14,570 per gram.
