Mangaluru: A seven-year-old girl student of a private school in Thenkila, Puttur taluk, succumbed to injuries ststained in a bee attack on Saturday. Police said the deceased is Jisha, a Class II student and a resident of Padur village in Puttur. The incident happened when Jisha and another student, Pratyush, were walking at Kootelu near Sediyapu on Friday.Local resident Narayana, who came to rescue the children, was also injured in the attack. All the three were taken to a private hospital in Puttur. However, Jisha, who was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru, failed to respond to treatment and died. Pratyush has been shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for advanced treatment.
