Mysuru: Days after the Mysuru taluk administration removed large-scale encroachment of a lake at KC Layout, at the foothills of Chamundi Hills, Krishnaraja MLA TS Srivatsa visited the spot on Monday and urged officials to file a police complaint against the encroacher in the next 24 hours.On Thursday, the MLA has warned that if the encroachment was not cleared within two days, he would personally lead the drive to remove it. After the MLA’s warning, the taluk administration on Saturday carried out an eviction drive and cleared the encroached land.Congratulating Mysuru district administration for clearing the encroached lake land, he said that the encroachers should not be let off easily. “Authorities must identify those responsible for the encroachment, register a criminal case against them within 24 hours, and send them to jail,” he urged.He stressed that strict action must be taken against anyone who encroaches upon govt land in Mysuru. “Only then can such cases be prevented in the future,” he said.Srivatsa also expressed his appreciation to CM Siddaramaiah and district minister HC Mahadevappa for instructing officials to clear the encroachment.
