Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths have arrested a drug peddler, Roshan Ahammed, and seized a country-made unlicensed pistol along with 10 live bullets from his possession.Roshan, 30, a resident of Gurappanapalya on Bannerghatta Road, had allegedly procured the weapon and ammunition to intimidate his rivals and to control the local drug trade.According to the Organised Crime Wing (OCW), East, police inspector Veeresh R received a tip-off from an informant that Roshan, known for drug trafficking, was carrying a pistol. Acting on the information, the team detained him on October 23 at a vacant site near a hospital in Sudduguntepalya.An FIR was registered under the Arms Act against Roshan. He told police that he procured the pistol from a smuggler with links to manufacturers in Bihar.
