Bengaluru: Former PM HD Deve Gowda has been re-elected unopposed as JD(S) national president and his son and Union minister HD Kumaraswamy as the party’s Karnataka unit chief. The decisions were confirmed at the JD(S) national council meeting held at JP Bhavan, where delegates unanimously approved both appointments.Party functionaries who attended the meeting resolved that continuing under the leadership of Gowda and Kumaraswamy would be crucial for organisational stability and future growth.JD(S) legislature party leader CB Suresh Babu, briefing reporters, credited Gowda and Kumaraswamy for keeping the organisation intact through sustained efforts and for building a strong cadre base.
