Hubballi: A programme of cleaning the gaushala and worshipping cows was organised by the SS Shettar Foundation at the gaushala managed by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Anand Nagar Road here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the Foundation’s president Sankalp Shettar stated that cows are equivalent to mothers and hold a revered place in the eternal culture, with a belief that millions of deities reside in cows. “Just as a mother nurtures her child with milk, cows have the power to provide milk to humans throughout their lifetime,” he added. He emphasised that the respect and love given to a mother and the devotion to god should also be extended to cows. He urged everyone to commit to the protection of cows. Foundation’s members including Vinod Bankapur, Adarsh Uppin, Bharati Tapal, Shivappa Nagoji, Jayashree Nimbaragi, Shivakumar Koppad, Manjunath Byadagi, and Ningappa Saudatti, along with local leaders, were present.
