Pic: Sannahanumanthappa and Sujatha Sandur (Ballari): In a tragic event, a couple died of heart attacks, just one day apart. Sannahanumanthappa, 55, a teacher at the govt Higher Primary School in Vaderahalli, Sandur taluk, suffered a heart attack on Wednesday. His wife, Sujatha, 50, also succumbed to a heart attack the following day. Sannahanumanthappa, from Hosapete taluk, served 20 years at the govt school in Tokenahalli Tanda before his recent transfer to Vaderahalli govt school. He resided in Ramdurg, which is his wife’s native village in Kudligi taluk. On Sept 24, Sannahanumanthappa had a heart attack while out for a morning walk. His wife, Sujatha, returned to Ramdurg after performing her husband’s last rites in Kariganur village, only to suffer a heart attack in the early hours of Sept 25. The couple is survived by a son and a daughter. Sujatha’s funeral took place in Kariganur, the same village and place where her husband’s funeral was held. Friends and family grieved for the couple, who they said remained united even in death.
