Mysuru: City police continued area domination drive across the city on Saturday evening. They warned of strict action against individuals and vehicles found roaming without valid reason after the stipulated time.Special operation began at 6pm and concluded at 10.30pm, police commissioner Seema Latkar told TOI.The drive was conducted in areas under Udayagiri, Narasimharaja and Mandi police station jurisdictions. City police, along with commando forces, surveyed public roads and in vulnerable locations, and interacted with the public to create awareness against crime and fraud.During the operation, police checked and verified around 33 people, registered 166 petty cases and booked 108 cases under the (COTPA), officials said.Police also ensured that all shops on major roads were closed at the stipulated time of 10.30pm, and action was taken against violators. Appealing to citizens, commissioner Seema Latkar said public cooperation was essential to control illegal activities and maintain law, order and peace in the city.
