Bengaluru: A taxi driver was arrested for allegedly attacking two other drivers with a knife near the VVIP pick-up point at Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 1 in the early hours of Monday, following a dispute over business. An ASI of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) intercepted the cab driver while he was chasing the other two.Suhail Ahmed Pyarejaan, 36, from Byrasandra, Jayanagar III Block, along with Jagdish JR and Renu Kumar — the two drivers he attacked— and the weapon were handed over to KIA police Monday.A CISF official said: “Around midnight, Suhail was seen running towards Jagdish and Renu with a knife near the Terminal 1 arrival lane. ASI Sunil Kumar, along with two on-duty CISF personnel, swiftly intervened, overpowered him, and secured the weapon without allowing any harm to anyone.”Preliminary investigation revealed that Suhail was acquainted with Jagdish and Renu. Suhail allegedly told the police that earlier that night, Jagdish and two others had assaulted him. In retaliation, he returned armed with a knife and attacked them.
