Mysuru: Krishnaraja BJP MLA TS Srivatsa on Thursday criticised the state govt, alleging that the lack of funds for developmental works is clearly visible during this year’s Dasara preparations.Speaking to reporters, he alleged that with only a few days left for the Dasara inauguration, no significant development work had taken place. According to him, from the selection of the VIP to inaugurate the Dasara festival to the release of grants, confusion prevails. He alleged that only patchwork on roads was done, while genuine infrastructure work is missing. “Apart from activity inside the Exhibition Grounds, the city looks neglected,” he remarked.“Even fallen stone pillars remain unreplaced, and lighting arrangements are the only preparations visible. As a result, Mysuru looks dull, and it is evident that the govt has no funds for development. Even in constituencies represented by Congress MLAs, like Chamaraja and Narasimharaja, no projects were taken up,” Srivatsa added. He further suggested that the Dasara authority should ideally function under the Chamundi Hill Authority to ensure better coordination.
