The association’s general secretary, V Virupakshi, along with other guides, met the minister during his visit to Hampi on Tuesday and presented a memorandum outlining several requests. “Hampi is in dire need of emergency medical services. It is essential to establish first aid stations and provide ambulances. Additionally, trained medical personnel should be stationed here to assist with heat-related health issues,” they insisted. Tourist guides serve as the genuine representatives of tourist spots, and it was requested that they receive health insurance benefits and free or reduced rail travel options.
