AI command centre to be extended across Chikkamagaluru district

Chikkamagaluru: After visiting the AI-powered automated command centre in Chikkamagaluru city, home minister G Parameshwara on Friday urged Chikkamagaluru police to extend the AI-powered Command Centre across the district. A total of 41 solar-powered AI (Artificial Intelligence) surveillance cameras were installed throughout Chikkamagaluru city.The minister said the new initiative should not be limited to the city and should be extended across the district to maintain law and order, and to ensure safety of the people.Superintendent of police Jitendra Kumar Dayama explained the new initiative to the minister. The new Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) was introduced to maintain law and order, control crime, and manage the increasing traffic. This centre handles automated fines for traffic violations and ensures public safety and security.The centre was established at an estimated project cost of Rs 1.75 crore. The minister also directed police officers to take necessary steps to find illegal migrants in the district.
