Yadgir: On Friday, 13 members of the same family were arrested by Gurumatkal police in Yadgir district for allegedly attacking law enforcement officers and disturbing them while discharging their duties.The incident occurred when the police were providing security to the revenue department survey staff working in Ramapur village, Gurumatkal taluk, Yadgir district. Residents of Ramapur village, including Ayyappa, Mallappa, Mallappa, Ayyanna, Sharanappa, Ayyappa, Kantappa, Ayyappa, Channamma, Ayyappa, Mallamma, and Mallappa, were arrested by Gurumatkal police.Following a court order, a team travelled to Gajarkot village, a neighbouring village of Ramapur, to survey the land belonging to Renukamma, along with police protection. At the same time, these individuals from three families arrived at the surveying site. All 13 members began disturbing the survey work and tearing papers, prompting police attempts to calm them, which were unsuccessful.The situation escalated into a confrontation, wherein a constable sustained minor injuries, as stated in a complaint. In this regard, circle inspector Veeranna Doddamani of Gurumatkal police station filed a complaint against the 13 individuals.
