Bengaluru: The city will witness the second edition of India Rising: Aspiring Undergrads Summit on Saturday at Prestige Falcon Towers on Brunton Road, Craig Park Layout, in Ashoknagar.Hosted by Vidyashilp University, the summit has become a confluence of global voices and Indian expertise. Students, parents and educators will witness a debate on a defining question: India vs Abroad — Where should the next generation pursue their undergraduate dreams?The day opens with a keynote address by Partha Ray, director, National Institute of Bank Management and former adviser to the executive director at IMF, Washington DC. The address will be followed by a panel discussion comprising Vishnuteerth Agnihotri, co-founder and academic director, GenWise; Sajan Poovayya, senior advocate, Supreme Court; Namita Mehta, president, The Red Pen; Chandan Gowda, dean, School of Liberal Arts & Sciences, Vidyashilp University. Tania Islam, assistant professor, Vidyashilp University, will moderate the panel.Beyond the conversations, the summit packs in energy and action through Innovators’ Junction — a student contest on interdisciplinary problem-solving.
