Belagavi: A Class 5 student who was on his way to school died, and two others were seriously injured when a truck carrying cement overturned near Harugeri in Raibag taluk on Tuesday morning. A case was registered at Kudachi police station. The truck, which was heading towards Harugeri from Kudachi, suddenly overturned on a bend. The children going to school were trapped under the truck, which overturned without warning, and the students were unable to get up. In the tragedy, Amit Kamble, 11, died on the spot. Anjali Kamble, 15, and Avinash Kamble, 14, were seriously injured. They were immediately rushed to Harugeri Hospital. Police visited the spot. A case was registered at Kudachi police station.
