NEW DELHI: Supreme Court Tuesday rejected the plea of former National Stock Exchange (NSE) managing director and chief executive officer (CEO) Chitra Ramakrishna challenging proceedings against her under the Prevention of Corruption Act.A bench of Justices J B Pardiwala and K Vinod Chandran refused to interfere with a Delhi high court order which had allowed her prosecution. The court, however, allowed her to raise before the trial court the question whether she was performing a public duty and could be treated as a public servant to be brought within the purview of the anti-corruption law. “We are of the view that no error could be said to have been committed by HC in passing the impugned judgement.
