Passenger’s lost bag returned under Op Amanat

Mangaluru: In a timely effort under Operation Amanat, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at Madgaon traced and returned a passenger’s lost luggage.Rajesh Mohan Achari, a resident of Murudeshwar, Bhatkal, boarded train No. 12779 on Sept 5 and, in a hurry, accidentally left his bag behind on platform No. 1. He later registered a complaint through Rail Madad (139).During a routine inspection, head constable Pawan Singh Khatri found the bag near the ramp of the new bridge. After due verification, the RPF staff opened the bag in the presence of the passenger. It contained Rs 10,000 in cash, clothes worth Rs 1,200, an Aadhaar Card, an RC card, a driving license, a PAN card, and a charger.The bag was formally handed back to Achari on Tuesday. He thanked the RPF Madgaon team for their swift response and assistance.
